Wow, that's a lot of SMS. Unless you're American Idol, it will get very costly. Most of our customers are looking for ways to reduce SMS, due to cost. Can I ask what type of application you are working on that it requires so much SMS?

SMS should be FREE, or nearly free. The reason is because it is carried within necessary control channel packets.
The best option I have found for SMS only M2M solutions is to use Prepaid SIM cards from AT&T or T-Mobile. With a 90-day expiration, and the rate you wish to send (50/month = 1.67/day), it will cost $8.33/month. If AT&T or T-Mobile removed the 90-day expiration your costs could drop to ~$5.
